Online Teaching Unit

The online teaching unit works to implement pedagogical innovation in order to promote the quality of teaching and the learning experience for students.

We help lecturers make their courses fully online, or partially online (integrated courses), to develop Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) or Small Private Online Courses (SPOC), through a combination of digital teaching aids, production, photography and video editing of individual lectures, of whole courses and of laboratory lessons.

After producing all of the content components, we also assist in building the course websites on the appropriate platforms.

What do we do here?

The course development process is carried out in full collaboration with the lecturers, and includes several steps:

Cracking the course structure; writing the course (including all of its components); generating online learning resources; and uploading the online learning resources to a variety of platforms: Moodle, edX, IL Campus and more.

We also offer production, photography, filming, editing and graphic design services for individual teaching content.

Development and Production of Courses

- Development and production of full asynchronous online courses and hybrid courses that combine elements of an online course and traditional classroom instruction.
- Development of courses on national and international platforms: Moodle, EdX, IL Campus

Project Management

Project management occurs throughout the process, from deciphering and preparing the budget for the course, writing the teaching units that compose the course, and production of teaching units, through coordination with all production parties, until the course goes live.

1	Timetable	We construct a timetable while taking into account all of the production factors and parties and the budget set for the project.
2	Coordination	We coordinate among all of the production parties in the various development stages of the course.
3	Monitoring	We will monitor performance on an ongoing basis.
4	Approval	We will monitor performance on an ongoing basis
5	Quality Control	We will take care of the quality control of the course components: The filming, editing, subtitles, course website, etc.

Photo production and video editing

The unit specializes in the production, filming and video editing of entire courses, individual lectures, laboratory classes, outdoor filming and more.
For this purpose, we maintain professional studios, which include advanced technological equipment and up-to-date editing software.

The teamwork on video production consists of several stages:

1	Adapting video components	We will analyze the course content and adapt various video components to it.
2	Creating a design language	We will design the graphic language that will accompany all of the course’s various components.
3	Study unit design	We will design each study unit taking into account the design and media that will be involved in it.
4	Guidance and accompaniment	We will guide the lecturer on how to stand in front of the camera and adjust the appearance to the filming style.
5	Quality Control	Strict quality control will be performed on the filming, and then on the video editing.

Techno-pedagogy

Techno-pedagogy refers to teaching practices that take into account both pedagogical (teaching and learning methods, motivation, the development of students’ skills) and technological aspects (using computers, the Internet, interactive whiteboards etc.).

Techno-pedagogy focuses on the development of online courses and online learning resources. The goal is to support the assimilation and establishment of the learner's knowledge through tools that enable interactive practice, collaborative learning and the improvement of the learning experience.
The techno-pedagogical work accompanies many stages in the development of the course:

1	Organization and decipering	At the stage of organizing and sorting out the course structure and content, we will characterize the components of the existing or planned course with the assistance of the course lecturers. We will write a proposal for a superstructure for the course that will enable active and meaningful learning for the student. We will decide on the structure of the course and its various parts: filmed units, reading passages and planning of the active learning that will accompany the teaching units, while raising initial ideas for learning technologies solutions appropriate to the course’s needs.
2	Writing content	At the stage of writing all of the parts of the course content, we will develop the course structure into a detailed program, characterize all of the learning items and adapt them to the technological environment.
3	Filming and editing	During the filming and editing of the course videos, we will accompany the photography and editing team, and we will start uploading the learning activities onto the learning management system (LMS).
4	Course website	At this point, we will finish setting up the course on LMS according to the planned structure, integrating all learning resources.
5	Control and upgrade	We will examine how the course will be studied by the students, and we will correct problems that have arisen in order to improve the course.
